How do portraits from Image Source differ from other studios?
We want our client’s involvement. We don’t have pre-set portrait stations where you simply walk in, “say cheese”, and walk out. We offer every portrait client the opportunity of a consultation with their photographer to discuss the concept, purpose and needs behind their portrait. In the event that you wish to turn the creative decisions over to us entirely, we typically prefer to design a background and lighting scheme once you’ve arrived, and we can see what fits your look best.
Do you shoot on location?
Yes. We enjoy the opportunity to capture people in the environments they are most “themselves” in. Your home, a park, or even an on-the-go session as you stroll through the streets of Downtown Lafayette are great examples of available opportunities.
How many poses are included in a session?
We normally shoot each individual or group until we feel the essence of each has been captured. So, there’s no limit on the number of photographs we take, but expect probably 8-10 proofs from each unique background or scene.
What should I (we) wear?
Consider whether you’d like your portrait to feel more formal or more casual, then wear something that makes you feel comfortable. We recommend solid, neutral colors; stripes and patterns are often distracting elements in a photograph.
How does the online proofing work?
Distribute the log-in and password information to your friends and family. Normally within ten days the images become available for viewing and purchasing on our site. The system accepts all major credit cards, allowing everyone to do their own ordering, and freeing you from organizing any orders or payment for others.
