How much do I need to know about photography?
Very little in fact.  The Entry Level course is designed so that you can have virtually no experience with a camera and still become a capable photographer.  We start from the very beginning.

My camera is a point-and-shoot.  Will that work?
The Entry level class is geared more towards using a digital SLR (or even a film SLR for that matter), but the concepts covered are important to all kinds of photography.  Exposure, composition, and lighting are topics that have to be taken into consideration with all types of cameras.

When and where does class meet?
The next Digital Photography class starts on November 13th and meets once a week on Tuesday evenings in the ISP studio.  The Photoshop class is currently not offered. You will receive a conformation of the dates and times of your class when you enroll.

Who’s teaching the class?
Dan will be in charge of the program.  He recently spent time teaching photography at Purdue University while working on his Masters.  Dan is dedicated to making sure you get the information and skills you want out of the course and is available for all your needs.

How many people are in a typical class?  Is there room for a more 1-on-1 experience?
There is usually 6 people per class and yes, there will be time for individual questions.  We understand that people learn at different levels and some might need a little more time with certain topics.  We will make ever effort to meet the needs of each student.

Since this is a class, does that mean I’m going to have homework?
Yes, there will be homework.  But don’t worry; it’s not required.  Think of the homework as more of a tool for you to understand the topics covered a little bit better.  You may find yourself doing these exercises already.  It’s all part of understanding your camera better.

The course is finished.  What now?
Don’t worry, there’s more to come.  The Digital Photography course is just the start of an ever-evolving program to accommodate the needs of everyone.  More advanced classes will arrive in the near future, covering more topics and developing further into topics already discussed.

Will Adobe Photoshop be covered?
YES! A Photoshop course is available. You can see more information on the classes page!
