UPDATE: Hey, check out the album design so far here. I don't normally put unfinished designs up, but since the reception's not until January (and I have the flu) I'm posting what's ready for now. Check back in a few days to see the rest from Mexico!

Where to begin? I was obviously anticipating this trip for some time, as it had been an entire year since my last Caribbean wedding. Andrea, Paul and I really hit it off after their engagement session and I knew this wedding would truly be a memorable experience. I was right.

After arriving in Mexico on Tuesday, Nov. 6, we met for dinner and discussed our plans for the following day, which included a sunrise photo session on the beach. Well, turns out sunrise comes at about 4:30am or something, so we had to settle for an early morning photo session, at 7:30am. There were certainly some fantastic opportunities at the beach that early:

Including what I think is my favorite image from the trip:

We had dinner with their friends and family later that night, and after dinner I really got to know some of the folks there for the wedding. Just a few quick images of Matt and Evan:

...and Anna...

and a quick one of Paul, since I know he loves black and whites:

I tell you, I slept like a rock that night. I don't know if it was the cocktails after dinner or just the smell of the ocean air, but I haven't slept that well in a long time. I awoke refreshed and ready to begin documenting the wedding day. Skipping forward just a little, here are a few nice images from Andrea's room, just before the ceremony:

Then, it was down to the beach where Paul was waiting. Byron looks on behind him...

The ceremony was very nice, despite the sunbathing onlookers:

Paul makes it official:

And the first of many celebrations begins:

Just a quick little detail after the ceremony...

And Andrea does a little celebrating of her own...

... and manages a hug from Anna:

Then it was time to head back to the hotel for the cocktail party.

Another nice one of Paul (it's hard to catch him with a real smile sometimes):

And a group candid that I love:

Andrea is somewhat of an aspiring photographer herself, and I promised to include one of her photos, even though the subject is less than ideal, LOL...

I'm a little short on time, and I want to save at least a FEW surprises for the book design, so just real quickly, an image of the dinner decor:

... the entertainment...

... and one from our 'Sopranos' series:

AWESOME!

Thanks again to Andrea, Paul, Pat, Lee, Robert, Deborah, Chrissy, Matt, Byron, Susan, Ethan, Jane, Tom and everyone else whose name may be escaping me at the moment, you were all great and I'm hoping to have the chance to see all of you again. Stop by again during the next couple of weeks for more images!

Mexico!

I'm leaving the office for Mexico now... Andrea and Paul's wedding is Thursday, so I'll be out for the rest of the week. I'll be in touch with everyone next week. Wish me luck!
